Research & Development Omega Research & Development, Inc., is a 30 year-old company based in Douglasville, Georgia, just west of Atlanta. Founded in Miami as Auto-Boat Alarm Company in 1970 to design, manufacture and market vehicle security, the company has diversified to include automotive loudspeaker, speaker wire and personal security products. Because of the tremendous growth, the company relocated from Florida to Georgia in 1981. Today, the company consists of four autonomous divisions, with Omega serving as the primary and parent division, providing warehousing and shipping as well as all financial operations for the entire company. The additional three divisions are dedicated to product development, marketing and sales for three channels of distribution, including a new car dealership division, a division for traditional two-step retail distribution and a specialty retail division. With the vision
of president and founder Kenneth Flick guiding the company, auto
security systems remain the central focus of Omega Research &
Development, with nine lines of keyless entry and vehicle security
systems. In 1995, Omega became the only company in the keyless entry
arena with a technology designed to prevent crime due to unauthorized
transmitter access to vehicle systems. The patented technology,
Unauthorized Transmitter Alert
(or UTA), promises to revolutionize the industry. Consumers
can now have instant knowledge of any unauthorized access to their
keyless entry systems. All of the products lines manufactured by
Omega are equipped with UTA technology. Omega
Turkey Representative Mustafa Özdemir, is at the same time
Asia and Europe Sales and Service Manager of the main producer company.
In 1995 Omega has moved into Turkey car alarm market and reached
end users through distributers. However targeted customer satisfaction
was not acquired and so in 1999 all distributor agreements were
withdrawn and a core sales department was implemented by Mustafa
Özdemir himself. Omega
Research & Development continues to increase its presence in
the security and mobile electronics market. With advanced technology,
leading manufacturing and distribution capabilities, Omega is a
recognized leader in the auto and personal security industries.
